Al Shattat zeigt die Zerrissenheit junger Männer in der Diaspora. Alltagsaufnahmen verschmelzen mit Archivbildern und analogen Animationen. Dafür wurden ca. 2000 Frames ausgedruckt, per Hand übermalt und als Stop-Motion neu belebt. Unterlegt mit einem Beat von Xatar gibt der Film der inneren Isolation eine Stimme.
Al Shattat depicts the inner conflict of young diaspora men. Everyday footage blends with archival material and analog animation. For this, 2000 frames were printed, hand painted, and revived via stop-motion. Backed by a heavy beat from Xatar, the film gives a voice to the isolation.
