This 204-page comic book outlines the experiences of the main characters, Haru and Mei-Hua. The sketches have been drawn by hand in the artist’s small notebook, but the finished drawings and comic pages are digital. The book is in A5 format, and the printed pages were stitched together using the Japanese bookbinding technique.
The story follows two characters who seem to be complete opposites from each other: the bubbly, open, and adorable Mei-Hua, whose life seems to be simple and sweet, and Haru, a mysterious, sentimental musician whose life is filled with secrets and hidden feelings. Haru’s name is the perfect match to Mei-Hua’s, an indicator that these two belong together. In time, they will realize that they have more similarities than they initially believed.
